NEWSMAN, Abuja – Acting MD of NDDC, Daniel Pondei on Monday collapsed in the ongoing house committee public hearing on the Niger Delta Development Commission.
Pondei was responding to allegations of N1.5 billion financial misappropriation when he suddenly collapsed and couldn’t respond to questions from the chairman of the probe panel.
Meanwhile, the Minister for Niger Delta, Chief Godswill Akpabio, on Monday, told the House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC at the public hearing that before he took office, the commission had over 300 bank accounts.
Akpabio also said that most of the contracts in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) are given to National Assembly members.
“We all know that most of the contracts at NDDC are given to members of the national assembly,” he said.
