School Resumption: ‘No School Should Charge For 3rd Term Fees’- FCTA

NEWSMAN, Abuja – Public and Private Schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have been directed to reopen on Sunday, October 11th 2020.

FCT Minister, Muhammad Bello, made this announcement while briefing journalists in Abuja, on Thursday.

Boarding students are expected to resume on Sunday while academic activities will begin on Monday”, he said.

The FCT administration further declared that “No 3rd term school fees must be paid” and that schools must not commence 3rd term 2019/2020 academic curriculum yet until further directive.

It was added that “guidelines for the reopening of the schools will soon be released”.

Bello said “FCT did not record any case during the re-opening of schools for exit classes, hence is optimistic that officials and pupils will ensure compliance with COVID-19 protocols once the schools reopen”.

Recall that schools were shutdown Nationwide in March 2020 in a bid to contain the spread of the coronavirus Pandemic
