Nigerian singer, Tems nominated for BET Awards
NEWSMAN, Abuja – Nigerian Afro-beat sensation, singer, songwriter and record producer, Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has expressed her excitement as she has been nominated by the BET to compete for the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act award for this year.
The 25-year-old singer who took to her verified Twitter account (@temsbaby) to express her joy tweeted “So crazy! Incredibly honoured”. She is the only Nigerian act nominated in this category.
She was nominated alongside six other international acts from around the world. According to a tweet on the BET Africa page, Tems will compete with the other acts to win this Award, as it’s a voting category.
