NECO releases 2020 October/November results
NEWSMAN, Abuja – National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the internal Senior Secondary School Examination (SSCE) results.
NECO Registrar, Professor Godswill Obioma, made the announcement while speaking at the NECO headquarters in Minna, Niger State.
The registrar said four schools in Adamawa State, two in Kaduna State, two in Kastina State, two in Niger State, one in Taraba State and one in the FCT were derecognised by the Council for engaging in mass cheating.
He said that 1,102,041 candidates passed at credit and above level.
Obioma said the Council also blacklisted 24 supervisors who engaged in aiding and abetting, connivance with non-candidates to write answers on chalkboards and poor supervision.
He stated that special arrangements have been made for candidates who missed some of the examinations as a result of the #EndSARS protest. Such candidates will have the opportunity to write the tests on February 1, 2021 during the SSCE external examination.
A total of 1,221,447 candidates registered for the examination out of which 665,830 were male and 555,617 female.
