Musa, Okoye arrive Eagles camp today

NEWSMAN – Nigerian forward Ahmed Musa and goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will arrive the Super Eagles camp today November 9.

Super Eagles training camp will open today in Benin City for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone schedule for Friday, November 13, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

The reverse fixture will hold four days later Siaka Stevens Stadium, Freetown.

Musa arrived Nigeria on Friday from Saudi Arabia, where he recently parted ways with Al Nassr and soon will be joined by Okoye who confirmed their arrival at the team’s hotel on Monday to newsmen.

OKoye who made his second appearance for Sparta Rotterdam and kept a clean sheet in Saturday’s 2-0 win against RKC Waalwijk on Saturday – their first league win of the season.

The young goalkeeper took to his social media to celebrate the win and his readiness for international duty with Nigeria.

The 21-year-old was in goal in Nigeria’s last two games against African champions Algeria and the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia where he failed to keep a clean sheet.

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has invited two other goalkeepers Daniel Akpeyi and Sebastian Osigwe for the games.
