FG urged to adopt hybrid security arrangement to tackle Insecurity

NEWSMAN, Abuja – Federal Government has been urged to urgently adopt a hybrid security arrangement in combating kidnapping and banditry in the Country.

Sokoto State Lawmaker representing Gudu/Tangaza federal constituency at the House of representatives, Yusuf Isa Kurdulla made the call in Abuja following recent activities of bandits in his local government area.

“A theoretical framework on security with qualitative methods should be adopted to know the causes of kidnapping and other crimes to protect the lives of the innocent citizens of the areas”, Kurdulla said.

He explained that many towns and villages were deserted for fear of attacks as the bandits attack soft targets at night leading to loss of lives and properties.

Kurdulla however commended the Federal Government for “it’s effort in dealing with security problems nationwide”.

He further called on the “National emergency management agency NEMA to hasten delivery of relief materials to all communities under bandits attacks”.
