Fans react to Burna Boy’s fifth album ‘Twice as Tall’
NEWSMAN, Abuja – Nigerian Afro- Fusion artiste, and song writer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu Rex, popularly known as Burna Boy has once again thrilled his fans with his new album ‘Twice as Tall’
The singer’s new album follows the success of his last year’s critically acclaimed fourth album African Giant, which gained him a Grammy nomination and won him BET and MTV Europe Music Awards.
Announcing the album on Instagram, he shared a picture of the artwork and wrote: “Art. Honestly, no title cause I wanted the art to speak for itself, this album was a journey through a bunch of emotions and energies at different points in time”.
Burna Boy seems to have gone all out on his fifth album as he employs the services of award-winning music producer and singer, Timbaland. Timbaland joined eight other Nigerian music producers to work on the album. One of the songs “Wetin Dey Sup” was co-produced by Timbaland and Nigeria’s Telz.
He features music acts like Stormzy, Coldplay, Youssou N’dou. On the first track Level Up, Burna Boy reflects on losing the best world music album award to Angelique Kidjo, explaining how the tension made him feel sick “I remember when I couldn’t ever love ’cause the Grammys had me feeling sick”

The album was executive-produced by Diddy, who also makes an appearance on the track Real Life. The songs on the album include; Level Up (Twice As Tall) [feat. Burna Boy rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album. He later signed with the US’ Bad Habit/Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group globally.
