Dethroned Emir Sanusi relocated to Awe, LG chairman’s 2-bedroom now his new home
NEWSMAN, Abuja – Dethroned Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido on Tuesday got transferred from Loko to Awe local government area headquarters in Nasarawa State where he is now to be exiled in a 2-bedroom flat that previously housed the council chairman, after his banishment by the Kano State Government on Monday.
His relocation to the new town followed pleas by top Nigerians who pleaded with the Nasarawa State government to look for a more befitting town that has basic necessities instead of the previous Loko town that was considered too rural.
Photos of the new residence of the deposed emir were published by Daily Nigerian.
The online paper said the Awe local government chairman was asked to make his house available for the newly deposed emir to be housed therein while other issues were being sorted out.
