Burna Boy gets nominated for 63rd Grammy Awards With “Twice As Tall” Album
NEWSMAN, Abuja – Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has been nominated for the 63rd Grammy Awards which is set to take place on Sunday, January 31, 2021.
This however will be the second time the talented singer will be nominated for the Grammy Awards. He snagged his first nomination last year with his “African Giant” album but lost the award to Angelique Kidjo.
The singer was nominated for his recent album Twice As Tall under the Best Global Music Album.
Burna Boy was listed alongside an American, Brooklyn-based afrobeat band Antibalas, American singer Bebel Gilberto, British Indian singer Anoushka Shankar, and a group of Tuareg musicians from the Sahara Desert region of northern Mali called Tinariwen, TheGuardian reported.
The ye crooner says the album is “a journey through a bunch of emotions and energies at different points in time. It has now morphed into something bigger than me. It serves as a bridge for mankind to show that we’re all different but still very much the same.”
