‘Always remember how far you’ve come’ – Veteran actress Iya rainbow

NEWSMAN, Abuja – Veteran Nollywood actress, Idowu Philips, popularly called Iya Rainbow, has encouraged people to always remember how far they had come, whenever they are in doubt about how far they could go.
The 78 year old actress who revealed that she had been in the movie industry since 1965, said it had been a long journey, adding that her strength came from struggles rather than wins.
“I remember 1965 when i started acting it’s a long journey. Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come. Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength,” she said.
Also, Nigerian rap artiste, Olamide, in a message to his 4.1 million Twitter followers, advised people to ensure that they constantly improve on themselves, Legit reported.
“Look around you. Everything changes. Everything on this earth is in a continuous state of evolving, refining, improving, adapting, enhancing…changing. You were not put on this earth to remain stagnant. If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet. Carpe diem!” he tweeted.
